Mike Moriarty is a professional musician and music educator with over 35 years experience in performing and teaching. He began playing guitar at 15 and joined his first professional band at 19. Since then he has played with numerous different bands, touring Europe and America and covering a wide range of musical styles including Rock, Pop, Folk, Country and Jazz, 

Mike began his teaching career at the Peter Dee Academy of Music in Limerick giving lessons in Acoustic, Electric and Classical guitar. He has also provided guitar tuition for Limerick V.E.C  and Limerick Corporation Community Arts Project. He currently teaches guitar and music theory at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance University of Limerick and at Glenstal Abbey Secondary School in County Limerick.

In addition to working with various bands and teaching, Mike has also been involved in theatre pit work for many years and has played guitar for various musical societies and schools including productions of “Grease”, “Mama Mia” “Sister Act” “The Wiz” and “ Back To The 80’s” to name a few. 

Mike is eagerly looking forward to meeting the staff and students at Musica Fusion!
