Rebecca Dermody is a recent graduate of Cork School of Music having studied the MA in Music Performance specialising in vocal studies and also received first class honours in her undergraduate degrees from UCC in BA Arts with English and Music and Bachelors of Music.
Rebecca studied classical and musical theatre singing with soprano Majella Cullagh in the Monforts and Cork School of Music.
With a love for performing, Rebecca has taken part in school and college musical productions, including the UCC Musical Theatre Societies' production of Soho Cinders playing a lead role of Velcro in the Granary Theatre, performed with the Cork Operatic Society chorus for their production of Pagliacci in the Cork Opera House, sang with the UCC Choir including the RTÉ One’s Christmas Carols From Cork with Enya and Sing Ireland’s Irish Youth Choir.
Playing piano, guitar and ukulele, Rebecca also writes and performs original music and has played various live gigs throughout Cork in The White Horse, Winthrop Avenue, The Poor Relation, The Oliver Plunkett, The Hole In The Wall in Kilkenny, and The Workman’s Club in Dublin. Rebecca eagerly joins Musica Fusion to share her love of singing and performing with students and to encourage them on their own musical journeys!
