Elaine Enright

Cello and Ballet

Elaine started cello with the Limerick School of Music and after a short break, while she got her degree in Heritage Studies and a Certificate in Performance Dance in 2001 / 2003, she returned her time and focus to the cello.   She studied cello with Nicola Geddes in Galway and further went on to complete her Grade 8 with Liz Johnson in 2015 in Galway with the RIAM.  

She has played as part of a quartet in Connemara and had a quartet master class with Contempo Quartet.  She was also involved in a String Orchestra in Galway and accompanied many singer-songwriters on recordings. 

Her modules in teaching dance with the ISTD in Cecchetti Classical Ballet and Modern Theatre Dance covered grade by grade skilled knowledgeable breakdown and application of music and theory.  It also covered exams in lifespan and development and child Psychology.  Elaine has taught for Gymboree, Stagecoach, Trading Faces and in Primary Schools across Limerick and Galway with Yellow Door Productions spanning 16 years. Elaine is delighted to be taking over our Ballet classes this year at the school!!

Elaine also enjoys playing piano, guitar and singing and is looking forward to meeting her new students at Musica Fusion School of Music.
